On the Trentino side, Lake Garda is surrounded by mountains that drop sheer into the water. You can decide every day whether to try a new sport, relax on the beach, or venture along trails suspended between the rocks and the blue waters. Where will you start?
Lake Ledro | 24 km away
Lake Ledro's clean, calm waters are perfect for sailing or canoeing while enjoying the gentle alpine breeze. We recommend visiting the Pile-Dwelling Museum, or exploring one of the many hiking trails in the area!
Lake Tenno | 16 km away
As soon as you arrive, the colour of Lake Tenno will leave you breathless: such a deep shade of turquoise that it almost looks unreal. In the middle lies the iconic little island, reachable on foot when the water level drops, while the surrounding greenery invites you to take a stroll or have a picnic on the grass.
Cities and villages
Riva del Garda | 7 km away
Crossing Porta San Michele, you enter a neat, lively historic center. The squares stretch all the way to the lake, flanked by buildings, arcades, and meticulously maintained gardens. Visit the Torre Apponale: the view from up there is amazing.
Torbole | 2 km away
The village is built around the small harbor, with rows of colorful houses overlooking the lake. Here you can relax on the beach, watching the surfers glide across the water, or cycle along the scenic bike path that runs the entire length of the shore.
Arco | 6.5 km away
The city’s skyline is dominated by the castle, which overlooks Lake Garda from the top of an imposing rocky outcrop. Arco has two sides: the elegant one, characterized by stately mansions, flower-filled gardens, and historic cafés; and the more dynamic one, linked to the climbing walls that have made it famous worldwide.
Canale di Tenno | 16 km away
Whether it’s the stone houses, the massive arches, or the flower-filled balconies, Canale di Tenno steals your heart at first sight. In summer, it comes alive with medieval reenactments, while in winter, its narrow streets become the perfect setting for the most charming Christmas markets.
Sports and adventure
Monte Brione Trail | 5 km away
From the Gardesana, take the staircase leading to the forts. Climb through the woods and past scenic viewpoints to the summit, at an elevation of 350 meters. The route passes by the Batteria di Mezzo and Forte Sant’Alessandro, then follows an easy forest trail that completes the loop back to the starting point.
Busatte Tempesta Trail | 3.5 km away
Stretching 4 km, this hike offers breathtaking views as it winds through scenic stretches made accessible by iconic iron staircases: a total of 400 steps! You’ll be amazed not by the effort but by the beauty of the route.
Lakes Bike Path | 2.5 km away
Plan on a two-hour bike ride to explore Garda Trentino off the beaten path. It's moderately challenging but thoroughly enjoyable: along the way, with a few short detours, you can also visit attractions, points of interest, or quaint local restaurants.
Ponale Trail | 13 km away
One of the area's most popular trails, it connects Riva del Garda to the Ledro Valley. It runs along an old military road, which is now closed to traffic and accessible only by bike or on foot, offering sweeping views of the lake for most of the way.
Belvedere Crag | 350 meters away
The name of the Crag lives up to its promise: Belvedere. Once you climb up and emerge from the trees, the view of Lake Garda is breathtaking. With pitches ranging from 10 to 25 meters, it’s suitable for all types of climbers, including families with children.
Nago Crag | 1 km away
To get there, you pass through the countryside and then follow the path leading to the base of the wall. Here, you’ll find 6 sectors and over 130 routes. The crag is fully equipped, with climbs ranging from easy to challenging.
